The Greek National Action Plan for the Lesser White-fronted Goose was drafted by the Hellenic Ornithological Society (BirdLife Greece) and the Forest Research Institute (Hellenic Agricultural Organisation “Demeter”) in the framework of the LIFE+ project. Following stakeholder consultation the National Action Plan was submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Energy that adapted and adopted the Plan as Joint Ministerial Decision 43235/1053 published on 25 October 2017. The National Action Plan foresees actions necessary for the conservation of the species in Greece based on the most current knowledge on the Lesser White-fronted Goose in Greece and aims to minimize the species threats as these are also described in the Status Report for the species in Greece.
